November is a month to give thanks and Food Brings Hope is very thankful for a great upcoming event! Plantation Bay Golf and Country Club will be holding a golf tournament Saturday, November 23 for over 20 teams participating to raise money for Food Brings Hope. FBH is a local non-profit charity dedicated to breaking the poverty cycle among children in Volusia County. FBH serves more than 500 students in 10 schools with a goal to nurture the mind, body and spirit of these children.
Players are honoring these underprivileged kids by raising money towards addressing their needs and increasing awareness of a significant problem in our community. There are more than 2,000 homeless students enrolled in Volusia County Schools and 17% of children under 18 are living in poverty in Volusia/Flagler counties.
With chances to win a car, great prizes to the winning team and playing on a top-notch course this is sure to be a great event. The 18 hole scramble is on Plantation Bay’s beautiful and challenging Club de Bonmont Course. Breakfast and lunch will be served in their exquisite club house and players will be able to enjoy the beautiful course with their own personal caddies.
This great golf event in Plantation Bay will be fun to all competitors and bring meals to many kids!
