Home for the Holiday Nighttime Parade: On Saturday December 14th as the sunsets at 6:30pm the City of Ormond Beach will be rolling out in style for it’s 23rd annual nighttime parade. The theme “holiday treats” will be displayed with lights and decorations on many floats from different companies across the county. There will be live bands and many different performances for all tastes. Don’t miss Mr. and Mrs. Claus to give them your wish list or arrive early for the City Hall Tree Lighting at 6pm. Parade starts on Division Ave and US 1, to the newly landscaped Granada Blvd wrapping around to Beach St.
Night of Lights: An unforgettable night in historic downtown St. Augustine will “wow” all! From roof tops to ground figurines, Night of Lights features millions of tiny white lights that will create a magical atmosphere for any age. In 2011 and 2012 National Geographic has voted this event as one of the top ten best holiday lighting displays in the WORLD!The origins trace back to the Spanish tradition of displaying a light white candle during the Christmas holiday, display the city’s 448 year old history beautifully. Night of Lights runs for 2 months through December and January so be sure to fit this in your holiday plans. While in town visit many of the downtown shops and restaurants or even catch The Nutcracker by the St. Augustine Ballet at Flagler College.
Holiday Tour of Homes: The Seventh Annual Holiday Tour of Homes will give you a true appreciation of the history of Ormond Beach. On December 15th from 1:30-5:30 the shuttle bus will bring you to visit and cherish some of Ormond’s most prestigious homes. First stop historic Anderson Price Memorial Building. The homes are sure to be displayed in holiday fashion while providing a great history lesson of our beautiful city.
